Silver Blade Ballet

by Cantchangeme   Mar 14, 2005

Last night I woke up
And saw you dancing on a knife
Doing ballet on the silver blade
The voices ask you to get a life

I looked a bit closer
And your feet started to bleed
The knife-edge cold and sharp
Underneath your aching feet

I walked a bit nearer
And extended my hand to you
But your blades cut to my bones
I just don’t know what to do

So now I sit and watch
As you dance, your crimson dance
It sends shivers down my spine
Your beauty leaves me in a trance

Tears stain my eyes
As your blood stains my floor
But I can’t get out this room
Your figure blocks my door

The radiance haunts me
As does the thought of your face
The beauty leaves me speechless
Yet you still hide in disgrace

I still remember that night
That you danced upon my blade
You bled yourself to your death
In a silver blade ballet
