My friend, Elise, just asked me
To write a poem about her
She was extraordinarily jealous
Of the one entitled “Jennifer”.

So here we go, my sweetie,
Are you ready for this lunge?
I’m delving into the depths of my heart,
I’m truly taking a plunge.

The former stanza is total bullshit,
But I felt like being corny,
With you I can share everything,
Especially when I’m……thorny?

OK, it’s time to be serious,
I need to settle down,
I need to really think,
I know that I will frown.

I will think of the countless memories we have
All the way back to our “peek-a-boo!”
All the way up to today at Meudon,
When you finally faced the truth.

This poem could go on forever,
I have so much to say,
But I’ve already written around 3 for you,
And already 3 today!

So I’m going to end this
On a very final saying,
I will always love you,
If we’re serious or we’re playing.
