The day you said goodbye

by Bonnie Fowler   Mar 15, 2005

I stand there watching as you leave. Not knowing what path I should take from here. It's been two weeks since the day you said goodbye. You said you'd always love me. No matter how far apart we are. It's been a month and still I have not heard from you. I've written you letters and not once did you respond. As I wait for a response I wonder if you're all right or if you truly love me. The day you said goodbye I never had the chance to say how I truly feel. I'll say it once and only once the three words that mean so much, I love you, I wasn't sure at first but now I know it's true. Three months have passed and still I have not heard from you. What is wrong, why won't you write are you hurt, are you all right? A year has passed and now I'm finally told, you got killed the day you said goodbye. When I heard that you were dead I cried my eyes for months, cause I never got to say the three words that mean so much, I love you.
