Delusions of a Peaceful Place...

by Jacki   Mar 16, 2005

Echos of rambling outsiders

arms wide open; a hush of

silence plagues us.

While we rest on an old dirty couch

chasing the dragon.

Our minds filled with clatter

delusions of a peaceful place.

Blood trickling down,

the dirty syringe passed

with no saint hood of rejecting

the feelings.

We tremble, I yearn for more

Mesmerized with a glassy, waxed

over stare.

Dancing nostrils flare to the

perfect scintillating anticipation.

Delicious purge; lapping at my skin,

falling...falling...

to a shrewd world, underlying

a victory lost to a bittersweet

defeat.
