God's Tears

Why do you cry God
Why does rain fall like tears
While you watch the world
And see all of our fears

I see your frown, God
I see it in your rainbow
In the bright display of colors
And in your promise of long ago

You see how we treat each other;
And the way that we live
You see the pain that we have
That we receive and that we give

At times, God, you seem so distant
Its like your aren't even there
Sometimes, God, you seem to be invisible
And it feels like you dont even care

At time your presence is felt
We know that you are here
We can feel your guidence and love
And know that you will always be near

And you also see the good on earth
Seeing all the wonderful things
Knowing there is hope for man
And knowing what love brings
