The Storm: Part II

by Amilo   Mar 26, 2005

I watched the winds slow, and this is what I had carelessly scribbled down, edited a bit. Part II.

-The Storm: Part II-

soothed by the voices of the angels
the wind sighs and his churning slowly
fades away into the pastel skies painted
lovingly by the tallest of the trees whose fingertips
gently scrape the clouds

a sorrowful breeze is all that remains
regret floods him, and he hangs his head shameful
of all the damage he has done

the trees gain their balance yet again
cherubs poke through the slate clouds with a knife
carving light into the skies
a thin line of hope peeking out at
the remains of the storm

I stand with eyes closed and touch
the sky gently, feeling the pale golden light
and rippling the heavens
