Join me in the Shadows {edited}

As you walk down the dimly lit street,
you see no helping hand.
There's no one there to ease your feet,
and say that they understand.

As darkness surrounds and closes in,
you see nowhere to hide.
There is no place where you can win,
the darkness, far and wide.

As all your hopes begin to fade,
you see nowhere to fall.
There is no place dark doesn't invade,
no place it doesn't enthrall.

As the days and nights become as one,
and sorrow consumes your soul.
There's no escaping, you cant outrun,
as the darkness takes control.

So for all those empty souls I see,
wandering a life of black and grey.
Come join me in shadows and let me
take your pain away.
