Dances with angels

by sadnessinshadows   Apr 1, 2005

My soul is leaving my body today
winged figures come and take me away
they dance and frolic while flapping tattered wings
all of them on notes a song do sing
it makes me forget about all of my fears
and all of the sins committed throughout the years
they take my hands and take me skyward
the sound of trumpets blowing can be heard
i ask for some time, they give me it all
for once in my life i know i won't fall

*one of my first

This was a pretty solid piece,.. no parts straying from the point of the poem..

they dance and frolic while flapping tattered wings
all of them on notes a song do sing

i imagine dancing and frollocking to be on the fround, and the language implies they're in the air.. its hard to think of them dancing in the air for me, but that might be to my fault..

all of them on notes a song do sing

this seems to imply that they dance to the songs, but in a unusual way... maybe change that so its more fluent and understandable.. i like the conclusion to this piece.. the part about not falling,.. ties in well with the angels holding you up.. quite nice imagery.. keep writin.. pZ out
