The Dying World

by Unseen Exposure   Apr 6, 2005

Misconceptions ring about silent ears that lay frozen in the night
Staring into broken woods, unsure if reality has kept them alive
Breathing in sync with the air around them, grim and confused
They bleed in colors of hate and fury, releasing pain's malediction
Alas, in the distance, glowing red a Savior has come to the rescue
The venue of hope among chattering teeth finds its way to his soul
But there is nothing he can do.

Chiming in the distance are the bells of revival of those prepared to march
Revenge seeps through pores in peaceful blood and rushes
The crowd cheers, anxious and gleaming, awaiting the arrival
The man on the ship, grasping failure speaks with pessimism
He draws out his sword in protective form and addressed the citizens;
"I am not who you wish me to be, I have not come for your liberation"

The people of the dying rapture gasp sporadically with fear
Tension shines over broad faces full of misguided strength
And he continues-
"Your Creator is the conspirator and he's left you here to die
It is my feeling that he is not real, and he's left his people alone
Though he claims to revive us all and lead us to the promise land of hope
I regret to inform you that his sacrifices were made in vein"

A billowing man calls from the crowd in a demanding voice with hate
"If you are not who we presume you are
Then why are you so inclined to be informed?
You speak of our God as unreal, but come with no evidence to support yourself"

He replies with shame and guilt upon his face and faces them with strength
"I have not brought you truths to appease the answers that you seek
But I can propose the questions to which will make you muse
Where is he in this dying world if not at your side suffering too?
Where was he on judgment day when your fate was decided by doom?
If he existed, then why has he not saved you for the centuries you've been dying?
You people of this dying world are too naive
You believe in a God that has never proven himself to you
You praise the words he has yet to fulfill, the dreams yet to aspire
But I tell you with confidence, those dreams will never aspire, will never be accomplished
You must accept thy words, and betray the God to which you praise
For he shall never return from his grave"

The people of the dying world went back to havoc, hatred, and gloom
Without questioning the persuasive figure before their eyes
The devil turned to walk back to his ship, back to purgatory
With a grin depicted on his face in accomplishing succession of ripping away their god.

this was...beyond words...incredible. I loved it. lOVED IT.

I love the bitter betrayl and stupidity you displayed in the people's knowledge of their non-existing savior given to them by simple questions which had always been left unanswered.
i also loved the incredible disappointment you portrayed when the god they had thought to save them ended dead, and their hero was nothing but the devil sent to satisfy his dark intentions of bringing pain and disorder.

    I loved these lines,
""Your Creator is the conspirator and he's left you here to die
It is my feeling that he is not real, and he's left his people alone
Though he claims to revive us all and lead us to the promise land of hope
I regret to inform you that his sacrifices were made in vein"

You displayed the conquest and mission so well mixed with this horrible reality and bitter truth.

I also loved your text, your vocabulary was powerful and created an impact to the reader of the dispension of hope and hero.

    EXCELLENT
