So self-evident this saint will be sainted
As we envision the honors to be painted
There is not a cross, greater than a throne
Where the sins of his people become his own

--Amazing!--Nice piece, Michael, you're very talented and it truly shows through this piece alone 5/5

    Love Always,

As always, beautiful...He certainly had an impact on the world while he was here. Lets pray that the next Pope will be as wise in the ways of Christ.

    God Bless

I'm glad you chose to write a poem about the Pope...Because you did it very well. I've read many that just didn't capture it, but yours did.

It's great to see people honoring the Pope through poems. This poem was beautiful. Something I didn't understand though: are you comparing Jesus and the Pope? I don't really agree with that. But otherwise, good poem, I truly loved it.

It is my belief that everyone who accepts Christ receives the Holy Spirit
This is the mystery of the Holy Trinity. A saint is in unity with the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was not only physically crucified, but also verbally crucified by his people. Because they where expecting their redeemer to conquer their oppressors with force
The history, ‘of the successors of peter’, is much too complicated to explain in a paragraph. This poem was inspired by a debate about weather Pope John Paul 11 was worthy of the title saint. The original saint from whom Pope Paul 11 took his name was a terrible sinner before he accepted Christ. One of the debaters implied because they believed that the pope did not assume the guilt of the bishops who had used poor judgment condoned the terrible sins of the clergy under his reign. Pope John Paul 11 was a poet whom was the Vicar of Christ the rest of the poem is self-evident. GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Doesn't seem to be much left for me to say, the rhyming did seem to bump in a few places, but it's nothing too significant. Well done.

My only critisizm would be that you capitolized He in the middle of a sentence in the third line of the third stanza.

    Otherwise GREAT!!!

yes i thought i would capitalize that pronoun to show that i was refering to Jesus Whom should be accepted into the hearts of all men thanks for the critisism
