The Prostitution (Of Our Cold Hearts)

by Ben   Apr 12, 2005

The prostitution,
Of our cold hearts,
Leaving us so empty,
Forgotten and torn apart.

Now you left me,
With nothing but memories,
Remembering how I love you,
And how it used to be.

You leave me here all alone,
With no one by my side,
No one left to talk to,
No where left to hide.

My broken spirit,
Wanders longingly,
Waiting for your return,
That’s never meant to be.

Under the grey sky,
Wishing to see your face,
Nothing but black and white pictures,
Haunt me in your wake.

My soul,
Full of nothing,
Bleeds me dry,
I thought you were bluffing.

The prostitution,
Of our cold hearts,
Leaving us so empty,
Forgotten and torn apart.
