Her Eyes Wide Shut

In a cold dark corner
In the center of a circular room
She sits crying
Hoping he will come back
Her eyes wide shut
Tears shed from her pale blue eyes
Down here cold pale cheeks
Onto her cold dry lips
They are absorbed by his warm gentle touch
She shivers a bit
Not believing her eyes
Thinking it's only her imagination
She closes her eyes tighter now
As thoughts chase through her mind
As tears touch her cheeks
They are gently wiped away
And her lips are kissed gently
Knowing this is true
And not just her imagination anymore
She opens her eyes
And touches his heart
Knowing that's where she belongs
And will forever stay

I wrote this on my Boyfriends and My 1 year anniversary! About a week before he had to move to Florida! It was bad! I love you Blaine!

    Aww thats really sweet. I can tell a lot of emotion went into it. Some words were repeated, but it was still great.

    This is really good and you put a lot of emotion but it seams you repeated cold and pale twice or something like that maybe you should change one of them so each thought is unique ... but besides that i gave you a 5/5 for it is really good with lots of emotion

    descriptive and delicate - i don't believe that poetry has to be about rhythm and for me this poem reinforced my belief xx

    Ok I am terrible on rating but I gave it a 4. Now you ask way if it were a short story it would be a five, as a poem it lacked flow and seemed to be choppy.
    But that just my feeling you had alot of good description and you painted a picture in my mind that was great but it just read too much like a story.
