Dreams

by Ann Stareyes   Apr 14, 2005

Life's simple dreams,
Ripped and torn apart,
Another day of sadness,
For a lonely heart.

Dreams that I'll always cherish,
Near and dear to my heart,
Knowing they'll never come true,
And it tears my heart apart.

But what a special joy,
Dreaming can be of you,
Because in all my dreams,
You share my love and life too.

These dreams are so pleasant,
And makes my life seem complete,
Just having you there,
Even if it's only while I sleep.

Dreams that can never come true,
This I know with all my heart,
I'll continue to dream of you,
Then we'll never part.
