Harlequin

by chloe   Apr 20, 2005

Patches of all the colours of the rainbow
Sewn together in diamond shapes
The harlequin is quick to entertain
But is alone when it comes to mates

The mask that haunts children in their sleep
The cheesy grin that goes to the eyes
The evilness that shows on the surface
Not the kind of clown that throws pies

He is a simple creature
Extremely arrogant but smart
A true character of fantasy
A hungry clown without a heart

He is poor when it comes to money
But he’s sophisticated indeed
Due to his increasing witty speech
Sadly he is now a rare breed
