UNFAIR WORLD

Perfect couple,
Relationship full of love a bliss,
Evolved around secret notes,
And a passionate kiss.

Looking into each others eyes,
And getting lost,
Both of them knowing deep inside,
How much love can cost.

Knowing love can rob you,
Of all the things you want to hold on,
Rob you of your childhood,
Make you a mom.

Then one day this perfect couple,
Had a big fight,
And found that they could not stay with each other,
Longer than that night.

So then perfect love,
Turned to perfect hate,
And looking at the other’s stuff,
Is something they could not take.

Both packed up a box,
Filled with smiles and memories,
And threw it in the trash,
No make-up, No apology.

For days and days,
Both had sleepless nights,
Replaying and replaying,
That horrible fight.

Their choice was made,
They thought they could not go back,
It felt that everything was final,
They had made a pact.

Through hateful eyes,
And a few harsh words,
The pact was made,
Or so they thought they heard.

Soon months past,
They still could not think of it as over,
She could not forget him,
He could not forget her.

The girl and boy,
Were a greater match than they thought,
But both stubborn as hell,
And with that their hearts started to rot.

Picking up the phone,
Hoping to hear the other on the line,
But then to hear a phone marketer,
Made them only hang up and sigh.

It’s then that the girl snapped,
She did not care anymore,
She grabbed her father’s gun,
And went up to the boys door.

She knocked on the door,
Waiting for the boy to be looking out,
But then when he never came to the door,
She started to shout.

“The love I had for you,
I will never lose,
And if it’s with a life with you or one without,
I will never need to choose.

You are my love,
And without you I cannot live,
You are my one and only,
You gave me all you had to give.

If you feel the same,
Please open this door,
I promise to work out all that happened,
And not think of it any more.

If you don’t agree with me,
Lock the door and walk away,
But please know that I love you,
And will miss you each passing day.”

It’s then the girl waits,
For the boy to decide,
Will he open the door?
Will he let her inside?

One minute,
Ten minutes pass,
It’s then she knows his choice,
And now she knows her fate at last.

She picks up the gun,
And points it to her head,
Within a second or two,
She’s lying on the porch dead.

Two lives were lost,
The day that she died,
One that was hers,
The other her guys.

For those few minutes,
Before she knocked on the door,
Was the time it took him,
To drink down one more.

Overdose was his choice,
And as he passed out he heard,
A very faint knocking,
But he could not get out any words.

Within fifteen minutes,
The guy was also dead,
Dying the exact same time,
As the girl he should have wed.

His parents came home,
To find the girl on the lawn,
Then they found the boy in his room,
With the windows all drawn.

And on his lifeless body,
A note was taped to his back,
With a message to the girl,
About breaking that stupid pact:

“Dear my girl,
I’m sorry to say,
I could not be strong,
With out you with me each day.

I love you,
And I hope you know,
It was you,
Who made my broken heart grow.

You are my love,
And without you I cannot live,
You are my one and only,
You gave me all you had to give.

And now I know we made a choice,
And I used to think we could not go back,
But in this note,
I’m sorry but I’m breaking our pact.

I love you dearly,
And with this I will say goodbye,
I hope you have a great life without me,
But please don’t forget our good times.

I will miss you dearly,
And believe me this is true,
I never loved any one,
As much as I love you.

I know we made the pact,
So none of us will get hurt,
But plainly you can see,
That our pact did not work.

I wish you a good life,
From the bottom of my heart,
I will always be with you,
Like I was from the start.”

So then two lives ended,
But their perfect love did not,
It reminded many how to forgive,
It made many remember what they got.

It’s sad it took two deaths,
To allow many more to live,
But in this unfair world,
It’s all the worlds able to give.
