In One World…

by Andrea   May 4, 2005

In one world someone is abused.
Their mind is being exposed to torment.
Pain from the emotional and physical combine.
The corruption is used for sick amusement.

In one world someone is heartbroken.
Their lover has cheated on love.
The journey has ended so short but
Tears of sorrow will soon be lifted above.

In one world someone is raped.
Their entire world comes crashing down.
Certain new fears haunt them plenty.
Their smiles turn into a permanent frown.

In one world someone is hiding.
Their body and mind are trapped.
They live in constant shadows
And can disappear just like that.

In one world someone is crying.
Their cries are not ever heard.
They need a friend to hold them
And say comforting words.

In one world someone is alone.
Their dreams consist of fairy tales
They don’t want to awake to sadness
Or be the person who always quails.

In one world someone is drinking.
Their mind is warped and dazed.
They drive and crash into an innocent.
Who will explain this tragic death craze?

In one world someone is drugged.
Their pain is gone for only a second.
The addiction is now happening.
They hear the drugs being beckoned.

In one world someone is cutting.
Their anger is slicing that delicate skin.
No one can force them to stop.
Ahh, why must the gashes be a sin?

In one world someone is singing.
Their voice is powerful and strong.
They sing of beautiful divine and
Know this is where everyone belongs.

Pause these worlds.

The one abused…
Free for a moment.

The one heartbroken…
Free for a moment.

The one raped…
Free for a moment.

The one hiding…
Free for a moment.

The one crying…
Free for a moment.

The one alone…
Free for a moment.

The one drinking…
Free for a moment.

The one drugged…
Free for a moment.

The one cutting…
Free for a moment.

Let us all come together in the last world.
We are blessed with such happiness and glee.
This blissful moment will not leave our hearts.
Listen to the beautiful song we sing heavenly.

Sadly the worlds are playing again.
Back to where you were before pausing.
Try to remember the song we sang.
And maybe the pain will cease causing.
