One Mistake

by Jackie Bilson   May 5, 2005

One mistake can take your life,
One unintended slash of a knife,
One tiny lie, One reckless dare,
One bitter grudge or deadly stare.

One mistake could break your heart,
Tear your entire world apart,
A misjudged action, A fatal error,
Nothing left but emptiness and terror.

One mistake could take it all,
Everything you've made,
Will crumble and fall.
No chance to beg, No chance to flee,
And you'll be alone and lonely like me.
