A mother's love is special, not quite like any other
i have but one in this life, never shall i have another
a unbreakable bond created at the very instant of birth
a love between mother and child unlike any found on this earth
so mom I'm telling you i love you, just like a daughter should
because you give me something that only a mother could
it is unconditional and always has a lifetime guarantee
i know you do the things you do because you love me
and i cannot tell you enough, you'll never know how much that means
there are moments when i have not much gratitude it seems
but not a day passes by i don't remember it's because of you
that i am who i am today and i do the things i do
it is within you that i often find things i see within myself
and in my heart your place could never be taken by anyone else
because you are my mother and that will always be enough
you love me no matter what and i know sometimes that's tough
and i know there's times these things i often forget to say
so if ever you need reminding, think of this extra special mother's day.
