The Pain I Can't Free

by Unseen Exposure   May 10, 2005

I felt my heart breaking as I sat down to see
The things you had carelessly written to me

Without even thinking of what they might do
You simply butchered my faith in you

A tear flew from my eye and pounded the floor
Soon it was salt face and tear eyed galore

You kept on screaming not breaking for air
You stripped me of my confidence, bare

Each blink was a hassle, a burning sensation
A word from the devil, a bad combination

Each moment dragged on elapsing the time
Hours passed slowly, exploding my mind

And as I sit breaking, you keep on repeating
This is your game, and by God, you're defeating

Flaunting your cruelty, proud of your hate
Sealed off by destiny, and broken by fate

Consumed in denial and hoping for strength
Keeping my distance, a million arm's length

Fighting off voices, insignificant and foul
On my knees whimpering like a wolverine howls

Razor sharp phrases slice deep in my gut
Pulsating the veins and mirroring a cut

Tears can't express, and words will not say
The pain that you've caused that won't go away.

    Of course I loved it.
Such depth into emotional harm and the comparison to a "game" of which you called it. I love the graphic symbols and elaborated strikes which are taken to beat the emotional state. I love these lines,
"And as I sit breaking, you keep on repeating
This is your game, and by God, you're defeating

Flaunting your cruelty, proud of your hate
Sealed off by destiny, and broken by fate"
Wonderful job of displaying the incredible cruelty and pride the person takes in pain.
    Excellent
