Behind The Main

by Kevin   May 19, 2005

As in dreams as always
so i have no easy borderline
between real and astral hallways
the difference lost to weight of time

As in dreams as ever
reflected from the waking state
a listless life would never
create such dreams recalled as great

I think i understand the line
pure abstract though it seems
that real is just what we define
"life is but a dream"

I love this poem. It is very deep and metaphysical, and you are talking about things very specific in a very ambigious way. It is interesting to read it because I feel I understand it from your perspective (of course, one can never be sure, I didnt write it), versus the perspective of one reading it from the outside, in. If that makes sense. Perhaps it doesnt, It's 1:30 AM right now and I decided to read some poetry before bed, so if it doesnt then feel free to overlook it.

I thought you were a great elf too, you did a great job and P&Q was better off for your efforts. I understand your frustration though. I'm glad, and I hope, that you'll be sticking around even though you "quit." You're a great poet and person, it would be a shame to lose you.

    Love K

This is a kinda cheesy one for me, though of course not without some philisophical merit and basic structure...it's a boy band peom you know?...a 5 minute wonder.
