Stitches

by Broken   Jun 6, 2005

One on the left
Two on the right
One more stitch
To hold it tight

Another stitch
To keep it warm
So many of them
Many pieces torn

Once it shattered
That took a lot of glue
But I fixed it, see?
I did it for you

Black, crisp edges
Burned like charcoal
Somehow, with stitches
I kept it whole

I know it may be ugly
And falling apart
But please be careful
As you hold my heart
