Ode to my Mother

Through all the days
and all the nights
eased me from pain
and all my fright

she changed my diapers
she fed me my food
she cared and hugged
and changed my mood

she was there
on my first day of school
around my friends
she kept her cool

she had to trust me
and leave me alone
she always told me
to get off the phone

without her love
i wouldn't be
thank you mom
for letting me be me
