The Day She Fell

by Ashleigh Skye   Jun 6, 2005

You don't see the angel falling,
no one could hear her cries,
and the only person who heard her,
quickly shut their eyes.

They turned their head away,
and pretended they didn't see,
all of the pain she was going through,
mixed with her insecurities.

They ignored her cries for help,
and pretended she was fine,
kids her age don't have these thoughts,
I mean, she was only nine.

But have these thoughts she did,
they haunted her every dream,
and as these thoughts grew in numbers,
her eyes lots their precious gleam.

No one seemed to notice,
until that dreadful day,
they found her body hanging,
in the middle of the doorway.

Her mother stifled a scream,
her father looked away,
her sister started to cry,
all on that cold Monday.

The day their angel took the plunge,
they day she made her choice,
the day she told the world how she felt,
with the silence of her voice.

another good poem, like you writing style suggestion- in paragraph 5, and 6 the last line on both of them try use diferent words to protray the same meaning but it make it those lines flow better, not that the flow was good it was good it's just a suggestion
