Why do you shed those tears?

And pull the covers over your head?

On the cold, hard ground?

You're bleeding all over the floor
You're losing so much of your blood
You may not have any more

Little girl, I still have questions
That I would like to ask you

You do the things you do

I would like to ask you why
You just took your life
I would like to ask you how
You slit your wrists with a knife

But my questions go unanswered
For you are no longer here
You took your breath, your life
So you wouldn't be living your fear

Now I'll ask myself those questions
That I had once asked you
Because after you took your life
I began to do what you do

When I was told the news
That you had committed suicide
I let out all of my emotions
For days and days I cried

Now that you are gone
And you took away your life
I decided to be just like you
And become addicted to the knife

Every night before I sleep
I shake and I shiver in bed
I hide under my once white covers
Which have now been stained red

I'll ask, why did I turn out like you?
Why are you forever gone?
And my list of unanswered questions
Will forever go on and on...
