A wish

Laying underneath the summers stars, so bright,
He's there next to me, our arms wound tight.
Sharing a single blanket just to keep warm,
All of our fears are broken and torn.
I feel so safe when I’m with you,
I have a secret love, but u have no clue.
We lie together and talk for hours,
All of a sudden, there is a meteor shower.
I close my eyes and make a wish,
For just one passionate kiss.
You say that shooting stars don’t come true,
Well, baby can’t you see that I’ve been wishing for you.
The sun is coming up, and its almost time to go inside,
But it turns out that baby you lied.
You took me by the hand and leaned in close,
What happened next is what I was wishing for the most.
You kissed me goodnight,
Underneath the morning sunlight.
My wish came true with that single kiss,
