Sisters

Take a look around-
What do you see?

Two girls, a world apart.

Take a look around…
One wall with striking slashes of
Delicate pastel pink, and blue, and purple…

Take a look around…
One wall, a window into
A land of green and verdant fantasy…

Take a look around…
One half
Of a wardrobe-
A gorgeous red strapless dress,
Winking with possibilities.

Take a look around…
One half
Of a wardrobe-
A gown in silk and satin,
Echoes of a bygone era.

Take a look around…
Olive skin, nut-brown hair
A cheeky smile, chocolate-button eyes.
An expression that always seems to say-
“What do you think you’re wearing?”

Take a look around…
Ash-blonde hair, a barely-freckled nose
Grey-blue eyes, alight with far-off worlds.
A dreamy smile that says-
“You think I care?”
