Grandma [happy b-day]

by No Motiv?   Jul 6, 2005

Her hands have endured laborious tasks

Working hard to earn this family's home

Yet no problem did she experience,

In raising the family that she calls her own.

One girl and one boy,

Both who have invested a part of herself;

Evidence that one takes as his womb

Lay in pictures and documents on her shelf.

She raised them correctly,

As they would raise children of their own,

As her grandchildren would become

A part of her home...

And in her very own home,

Myriads of memories were laid

For years and generations to come,

Those memories were there to stay.

Grandma's green eyes

watched as they grew,

As her granddaughters eyes,

Would someday, do the same thing, too.

A grandmother is not only a friend,

But a keeper of life and time...

I could sit and reminisce memories

That I built with the grandma of mine.
