Her soul still remains

by Elynnka   Jul 10, 2005

Many years ago, in a land so far across the sea
Lived a beautiful young girl, as pretty as one can be.
Her long black hair use to flutter in the breeze,
All the boys that saw her use to stare and freeze.

Skin so pale, eyes so blue and lips so read,
Like a fairy-tale princess, that could never be dead.
And each night she walked softly on the beach,
Each time going further to see where she could reach.

She was so kind and if help were need she'd be there
She loved to help people and made everything seem fair.
But one night, while she was at the beach, she could see
The neighbor's little boy trying to escape the wrath of the sea.

She jumped in the water and swam quickly to save the boy,
Brought him back to shore and swam again to "save" his only toy.
His parents were so grateful, beyond what words can express
She was smiling angelic, shivering in her black wet dress.

Many years passed by since she took her last breath,
And still after all this time, people mourn her death.
She died of old age in her little welcoming home,
Her loved one was with her, she was never alone.

Her soul still remains alive in the memory of the ones she helped,
In all the ones saved and in all the boys’ hearts that love for her felt.
Sometimes at night, walking down the beach you can clearly see
The ghost of her soul flowing above the sparkling sea.
