Imprisoning Crime (3 a.m.)

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 12, 2005

3a.m.
what has happened to the night?
Sadly it will soon be daylight.
No time left for that midnight hunt
So starving i must pretend to wake.
I will have to see the horrid sun soon
Why couldn't i have stayed under the moon?
I dread that terrible sunrise
as i cringe, it hurts my eyes.
Wouldn't you too, cry
If you knew when the sun came you were gonna die?

Let me howl one more time
Let them hear my sorrow
Why did they believe my spirit was an imprisoning crime?
Wish tonight could already be tomorrow.

Weep for me dearest wolves
For only you know my fears
And let your sweet singing
Wipe away all my long-lost tears.
