The Reason

by Ariel   Jul 12, 2005

I am always treated badly
By my peers at school
They don't like me
Because I'm not "cool".

I expressed my pain in different ways,
Cutting, watching it bleed.
I realized that in this fight
I really wouldn't succeed.

So the only other way, it seemed
Was to end all the pain.
I figured it just wasn't worth it.
I had to end the pain.

And as I laid there crying
With the pills on the floor
I heard a little knock
On my front door.

I quickly got up
And looked outside
And who was there but the guy
Who treated me badly and lied.

I opened the door
And stepped out
I studied his face
There was no doubt.

He was there to apologize,
He was there to ask my forgiveness.
He came over to tell me he loved me.
And that he was sorry he caused this mess.

Now it is definitely implied,
What had happened that day.
He saved my life, that gorgeous guy,
That's all I have to say.
