You're gone

by Britney   Jul 13, 2005

I still can remember,
The smile on your face.
Now that your gone,
No one can take your place.

I still can remember,
Looking into those deep blue eyes.
Now that your gone,
I find myself asking “why”.

I still can remember,
You always being there.
Now that your gone,
The pains hard to bear.

I still can remember,
You holding me tight.
Now that your gone,
No one can make things right.

I still can remember,
The day that you died.
Now that your gone,
I want to run and hide.

I still can remember,
The funeral day.
Now that your gone,
I promise my love will never go astray.

Overall, awesome poem, but the last stanza was confusing... "Now that you're gone, I promise my love for you will never go astray"? thats kinda confusing... like saying if the person was still alive(or there), then you wouldnt love them? im sorry, just a little confused x.x

This is extremely sad. But pain is a part of life, and so is losing the people we love. We just have to learn to move on with our lives, and most importantly live for those who have died for us. I hope all is well with you

    Take Care,
