Silent Wars

by Ironic Allure   Jul 13, 2005

You've got so many problems,
I'm just as lost as you,
But that doesn't mean I'm hopeless.
Afraid of the darkest places?
Yeah I've been there before.
Anyone would've heard me from a mile away,
Well anyone but you.
Everything's so much harsher this morning,
So wake up in the afternoon,
Drag the sunrise down
I know you're there,
I'll be there soon.
You're living on the edge again,
And borrowing your time,
The skies are grey and meaningless,
Yeah maybe your foot's in the door,
But your heart's not in it.
Don't change your mind, you're ailing,
The time is running out.
Everything's so much harsher this morning,
So wake up in the afternoon,
Drag the sunrise down
I know you're there
I'll be there soon.
You're a prisoner of silent wars,
The fight is in your head.
You must keep those words a secret,
No weapons can dilute the truth,
But this feels so wrong.
So would I be out of line
If I said, I'm sorry?
Everything's so much harsher this morning,
So wake me up in the afternoon,
Drag the sunrise down
I know you're there,
I'll be there soon.
Wait for me.
