Thank You

It’s hard for me to write these words
Because I don’t exactly know what to say.
I can write about anything that crosses my mind
Except how much you mean to me.
Your friendship has probably saved my life,
More than you could ever know.
All those times that I stooped that low
As to think you never cared,
I know now I’m am effing idiot
Because I know you would never dare.
You listen to me even when I don’t talk,
Standing by me when I don’t think I’m strong.
I get down on myself and you’re always there
To tell me that I’m wrong.
I wish I could be half the person you are
But in my lifetime I don’t think I’ll get that far.
You represent everything I wish to be,
Beautiful, outgoing, and most of all, trustworthy.
I can tell you secrets locked in the depths of my heart
I think I’d be close to death if we ever grew apart.
To me our friendship is deeper than just best friends
You are the one who I know I can fully depend.
I hope I mean as much to you as you do to me,
But one meager poem cannot reveal all that you mean.
I thank you from the deepest bottom of my heart,
Thank you for being a friend, and for all that you are.
