Candle Skin

Candle skin waxed over dark veins
Aflame with fading scars
Extinguishing the wildfire of anguish
And illuminating a good day ahead...

At the first touch of emotion
It burns...
Learning another method of feeling
It hurts...

Senseless words bounce off
Still bruising from existence of them
Candle skin just falls off...
Exposing its inner wic

It's just a lick of the ember that forces through the dirt...

    It's certainly a very interesting read. I'm glad to see such talent and creativity from someone your age. Most 13 year olds dwell on their little romantic problems, but your maturity seems to shine through with your advice to people and now once i read your poems, them as well. Very very nice.
