The Trees

by Flying Phoenix   Jul 18, 2005

Wander through the woods,
Crawl along the path
Yet leave it if you dare
For things created only in a nightmare
Can live beyond out there

Listen to the breeze
As it whistles through the trees
Yet take heed of its warning
Before the break of morning
The creatures come from the briars
From the bluebells
From the fires
To take away your happiness

Look up through the treetops
As the sun shines on the snowdrops
Watch the patterns created in the leaves
See them as they fall and die
See them as they there on the path lie
But be careful
Watch your step
Keep to the path
Do not scream or laugh
For you can be heard
The undead are listening
The ungood are watching
The creatures are there

Waiting

Ok Luski, just because you have suddenly discovered me on here, doesn't mean you have to comment on everything. But saying that, no one else wants to so they are all greatly appriciated..... And I know loads of them are crap due to me writing them years ago...I'll never be as good as you or mads. Or anyone really.
