My Teddy Bear Love Story : Pt. 1

by Renee   Jul 21, 2005

The teddy bears, m'love
They seem to have this cold stare
as if you put them in my hands,
to remind me your's were once there.

And they mock me every night,
their shadows dance upon my wall
singing songs of delight,
those songs we sang last fall.

I remember when we danced,
to those ridiculous love songs
that night you took my hand,
and spun my world wrong.

Because the next morning,
waking, not to your scent.
Etched in the heart of that teddy bear,
was the story of your last breath.

-*-this is just part one, im working on part 2. im not sure how long it will be. please comment and tell me if i should continue or not.-*-

I like how it's short and simple with lots of meaning. =)

There's only one part that confuses me...

    "Because the next morning,
    waking, not to your scent.
Etched in the heart of that teddy bear,
was the story of your last breath."

Did you mean, he died? I can't wait to read the next one, could reveal something.

*hopes anxiously to the next poem*
