Silent Dream

by Gothic Angel   Jul 26, 2005

Silent are the forlorn scarlet roses
Who watches the gold-tipped butterflies
Elegant creatures of poem and prose
One of earth, one of sky.

Crimson cloak unfurls at dawn,
Velvet petals wet with dew,
Echoing a lady long gone,
The Queenly grace of very few.

Silver wings beats back time,
Feathery scales delicate as air,
Tremble with an ancient rhyme,
Perched precariously at the dragon's lair .

Caught forever in immortality’s stream
Two symbols, silent and free,
woven with care in every dream
Teaching pure souls to see
it's guiding ivory light
out of the odsidian
