My Angel

~this poem took me a while to write because this is exactally how I feel about my best friends, and its difficult for me to write something that does not have a sad or dark msg to go along with it.~

Best friend is just a title,
it needs actions to make it true,
and all the smiles and laughs I've had,
are that much brighter when I'm with you.

The little inside jokes,
that no one else ever knows,
always seem to be followed,
by good times at bad shows.

By simply hanging out,
and talking like we always do,
always makes me feel better,
even when I'm blue.

You've always had my back,
no matter the situation, time, or place,
and when I needed a friend the most,
you were my angel, my saving grace.

You saved my life more than once,
although I don't think you'll ever know,
because the unstable person I was back then,
has melted away with the snow.

So thank you for always listening,
and for always being around,
for helping me put myself back together,
when I was in pieces on the ground.
