Saved My Life But Took Your Own

*About my first suicide attempt. My best friend found me and saved my life. Then, a few months later, my best friend committed suicide... one of those tragic tales*

Tortured restless, can’t go on
Faith and hope, all is gone
Endless battle, I’ll never win
My last resort, committed sin

Broken promises with tear-filled eyes
Drowning in your best friend’s cries
Staring into the blade’s reflection
Cut again, my life’s perfection

Feeling weak, strong with my blade
All remaining strength begins to fade
Life or death, the time is now
The time has come, won’t leave somehow

I watch my wrist as my blood flows
How much longer, no one knows
Watching as my blood runs red
Anxiously awaiting to be dead

Drifting away as my body runs dry
Watching my life pass me by
Losing all feeling, body is numb
It’s finally here, death has come

Saved my life, what I didn’t need
Just wanted to pass out and forever bleed
You saved me from my useless knife
But after that you took your life

Saved my life but took your own
Since then my love for you has grown
No longer do I have you around
You’re just lying there, 6 feet underground

    I'm sorry for your friend. I don't know how it is to lose a friend to suicide and I'm not going to pretend to feel as bad as you because a lot of people say that but they don't know how you feel or anything and so I'm not going to give you a false statement. I'm just hoping that my words don't sound hollow and sh.it but I really hope that the pain does fade somewhat. No one can take away what your friend gave to you except yourself and you probably owuldn't do that knowingly.

    Keep your head held high...it will soon get better...I hope anyways.

    =( so sad, very sorry that that happened. i found myself in a simliar situation just last week actually... your an amazing writer, keep it up and obviously your not ok... but try and stay strong... take care x
