Prismatic

by Drew Gold   Aug 24, 2005

I don't really remember whether it was just last night,
or another night that passed like light through the glass
of a reflection thats alive and doesnt want to be grasped.
Yet memory slows it's own pace with overflowing excite,
and refracts out gold rays of everlasting delight.

Prisms spin, twist, bend and begin to split,
divisions then emit such immaculate hues
whose colors dive toward me, forward and through.
Memories are miles behind I shan't soon forget,
and with your presence in mine, said prism is lit.

Channeled through the chartered and unchartered alike,
emotion passes, pulsing, thriving in all its entirety
through the spectrum of colors and their ultra-bred variety.
Dimming, almost diminishing, a spectral entity soon arrives:
A tinge of remembrance, fading at the speed of light.

im so unsure of my works sometimes.. i've changed this many times, and im pretty pleased with the result. however, i dunn0 if the first stanza is good as is, or would be better as it previously was,.. lemme know whatcha think.. if you do have an opinion, i'd also like to know why u chose either the old stanza or the new one, what u liked/didnt like, etc.. thanks.. pZ

Old stanza:

I don't really remember whether it was just last night,
or another night that passed like light through the glass,
but the latter, alive, bears my own psyche's grasp.
It slows it's own pace with overflowing excite,
refracting out gold rays of everlasting delight.
