Tortured memories

by Pieman16   Aug 25, 2005

I met you in a corner shop,
It was love at first sight,
O your sweetness was a heavenly delight,
I invited you home and you accepted,
You were so much more than I expected,
You brought your friends but I did not mind,
Because you’re the sweetest I could find,
I ate them all till I was nearly done,
But saved you because you’re my number one,
And I tried so hard to make things work,
But in the end it wasn’t to be,
O how the memories torture me,
Because it simply broke my heart,
Having to eat, my last jam tart...
