Together We Can Fly

by ~*~MoNiQuE~*~   Aug 26, 2005

When we ask someone “how are you”?
And they answer with a “very good indeed”,
Don’t you ever think that they may be lost to?
If you look deeper, their face you can read.

You can unravel their clever disguise,
And realise all they are wanting to say,
Letting go of all their horrible lies,
Wanting to spill it all, but the price is too much to pay.

Maybe if you took an interest in their life,
And told them you’re confused as well,
That it may stop the cut of a knife,
And cease a life of living hell.

If they know their not in it alone,
And have someone by their side,
Always able to talk on the phone,
Or just standing there with arms open wide.

Next time you ask someone “how are you”?
Please ignore the pleasant and simple reply,
Look beyond the mask that looks so true,
And let them know that together you can fly.
