Broken Girl

by k i k i   Aug 27, 2005

Under the shining light,
The evidence, it’s unique.
Judgement of what happened,
Two sides to the tale of horror.
Bruises shimmer in the brightness,
When I close my eyes.

Dreaming, hoping it’s all a mistake,
All is true, happened so swift.
Dark circles around my eyes,
Cry with fear that I won’t make it through tonight.
Stabbed and alleged,
Broken free, home alone.

Windows smashed, bricks crumble,
Me reading alone, listening to myself think.
Forgetting what was all a blur,
Flash backs of me crawling on the floor.
Ripped off, bashed all around,
Justice is what I want; it’s what I need.

Sleeping with the scars of a night,
As I lay my head upon the pillow.
Blanket tucked in, everything fine,
My teddy bear, keeping me safe from him.
Whispering to the angels, wishing for freedom,
Why did this occur to me?
