Childhood Memories

by Stacinator   Sep 4, 2005

[acrostic]

Catching bugs with plastic nets.
Having races and silly bets
Ice cream dripping off your cheek
Laughing until your knees are weak
Dressing up with clothes too big
Holes for army men that we dig
Opening cereal for the prize
Our tears drown the innocent eyes
Duck duck goose never got old

Medicine was yucky, stupid colds
Everyday we watch silly cartoons
Mommy buy me a red balloon?
Over and over we counted to 10
Rules we learned again and again
In the bathtub we wanted bubbles
Either share your toys or your in trouble
See how fast it all goes by?

Some of it i could relate to, some i couldnt.. good altogether, however, this really didnt bring me back to my childhood, but then again it might just be hard to do that w/ me.. it was good th0,.. to me it sorta ended abruptly,.. i dunn0 if i like that.. but u might have done that on purpose, as childhood seems to end abruptly, or more precisely, seems to never last long enough.. anyway.. although i do think about my childhood and wish to go back, i still maintain my inner child and can be crazy like a lil kid.. that much i'm grateful for.. this is just a comment maybe for your sake, but maybe omit that it is an acrostic poem and see if people realize its an acrostic or are just reminded of their childhood.. i liked it, but i think it could be more vivid and colorized with childhood nostalgia,.. more feeling.. but maybe thats hard to accomplish with an acrostic.. goood job.. 4/5 =O)
