Desperation
Clawing, grasping, trying
The last act before the plunge
Loss

Guilt
Poking, nipping, pinching
It never leaves until it is satisfied
Memory

Pain
Scratching, destroying, hurting
The ache only time can heal
Sorrow

Time
Running, sprinting, struggling
It will eat anything eventually
Death

Hope
Warming, softening, comforting
The will to keep going
Life

    Very, very nice poem. I loved the structure and I love the words that you used. They go perfect with the title. scratching, running, struggling. You totally captured desperation. Great job! Oh, and by the way, thanks for the comments on my poem. It really meant alot:)
