My Love for You

by Alex   Sep 17, 2005

Dear *******, my love for you
Has ne'er before been known,
But dormant in my bosom lain
And now the seed's been sown.

The mighty oak, with tow'ring strength,
From tiny seed was taken,
But once its roots are firm in place
It never can be shaken.

There's distance great between us
Of this we have no choice,
But I'm grateful for the telephone
Which lets me hear your voice.

This little verse with so few words,
Cannot convey the gist
Of how I feel about you
Or how much you're REALLY MISSED.

With type and speech our options,
This ode will have to do,
Till I find a way to send myself,
So that I can be near you.
