The Gentleman's Diary: Final Entry

Dear Diary,

I have a question, that needs to be asked
I need an answer and I need it fast
Is it over, will chivalry last
or has the gentlemen's time truly come to pass

These villains lead them down a path of lust
and they willingly follow with blinded trust
I see it each day and watch in disgust
I don't think it will change, but try I must

For its the gentlemen's duty to try and fix
to steer them away from the villain's tricks
we put up a wall of metaphorical bricks
And we beat the villains back with chivalrous sticks

But try as we may, they seem not to care
as they follow these villains every where
the loss of girls I can no longer bear
I feel myself slipping into a pit of despair

The smoke has cleared and the battle is done
we raise our hands and drop our guns
These villains are having way to much fun
As they snicker, laugh, and say they've won

We gentleman are fading and I don't know why
as my race goes extinct it makes me want to cry
That women sit back and watch us die
And don't care enough to even say goodbye

The villains have taken control of this place
and have forced us to leave without a trace
and we will do so in sadness, with poise and grace
As a single tear slides down our face

As the sky turns black on our final day
I let go of my pen with nothing to say
I drop to my knees and begin to pray
That from the way of the gentlemen, I will never Stray

I ask you now, dear diary
How could this have happened to me
For I never dreamed that I would see
The day that the gentlemen ceased to be
