AFTER

by Gary Jurechka   Sep 28, 2005

Memories of you
haunt
me now,
long after you are gone,
haunting
just like the way
your perfume used to
linger
each time after you had left,
lingering
in my clothes, on my skin.

I close my eyes
and I can still
taste you
in my mind.
