The Power of Listening...

Listening to every word spoken
Hearing everything loud and clear
Wanting to say something
To speak to those far and near

The only words conversed are written
The only sound is not their own
Every time they open their lips
Nothing at all can be heard

They wish to speak out loud
Wish for someone to hear their thoughts
Wish to be able to shout and scream
To do these and other sorts

It it is difficult to understand
How they manage to live this through
But these people are strong and powerful
Have something we cant do

They have the power to listen
To feel things in their heart
They must be the only people
That put others first

So this is the poem to those
That feel they cant speak aloud
Don't be afraid to show you feelings
You must inside feel proud

Having the power to listen
Is indeed something strong
So listen when one has a problem
This motto will always help you through
