Is it over for good?

It started so quickly,
And ended so fast,
I don't know what happened,
I thought it would last.

We've been best friends,
Longer than I can remember,
A part of the club,
You easily became a member.

We had rough times,
But we helped each other through,
We held each others hands,
And for that I thank you.

I wish I could help,
With what is going on right now,
But I don't know what is wrong,
Or if forgiveness you will allow.

Please let me know,
What is going wrong,
Because being my best friend,
Is where you belong.
